I was contacted by the founder & owner of Maryland Moats Lexow Insurance (MMLIns) to design a postcard announcing the grand opening of their newly renovated office building. During the Open House event, MMLIns was also hosting a classic car expo and various fun activities for families. The client owned a classic 1950s Ford truck that they wanted included in the postcard design as well. I decided to illustrate the truck in a vector format so the client could reuse the image in any future publications. To make sure my drawing was an accurate representation of the client’s vehicle, I asked if they’d be up for a small photoshoot where I could come out and take professional photos of the truck. This also provided unique images for me to use in the postcard design. Overall, my client ended up with not only the postcard design they had asked for, but also professional photos, and an illustrated vector of their truck.
